MTI continually monitors the integrity of the ASR and TTS engines. This is done through the use of automated log parsers, automated health monitors and automated calling systems.
Clients can either contract with MTI to monitor their own applications or can coordinate self-directed or independent monitoring.
Platforms are routinely backed up using MTI's DLT subsystem. Each platform is differentially backed up daily, with a comprehensive backup taking place each week. Backup tapes are stored off-site monthly. Additionally, the platforms employ RAID-1 or RAID-5 technology to insure data integrity.
Further, MTI has a process that extracts billing and metrics logs from the platforms and imports them into a separate SQL database. This takes places every 15 seconds.
With multi-terabyte capacity, MTI can maintain multiple copies of data on-line for fast retrieval.
Clients can contract with MTI for customized data backup services.
To determine any specific requirements, MTI asks all clients to answer the following questions:
Does the client have special backup requirements?
If YES, please provide those requirements.
Will the client require copies of backups?
Does the client have special encrypting/security requirements for backups?
